The Haas VS-3 is a large-frame, bed-style machining center that provides large travels and heavy-duty cutting capacity in a vertical spindle format. The machine features a 50-taper, geared-head spindle and a 50+1 tool side-mount tool changer. The fully supported X-axis travels easily handle parts weighing up to 10,000 lb.

AVAILABLE 120-TOOL CHANGER

This optional 120-tool chain-style tool changer provides plenty of locations for back-up tooling, or setting up tools for multiple jobs. It is the perfect choice for high-volume production and long part runs, or high-mix, low-volume machining.

The hydraulically actuated tool change mechanism minimizes non-cutting time, and the servo-driven chain allows direct positioning to any tool in the carousel to reduce cycle times. With adjacent pockets empty, the tool changer allows oversize tooling up to 10" (254 mm) diameter, and weighing up to 35 lb (16 kg).
